… “You are the God who sees me …”
Genesis 16:13 (NIV)
Hummingbirds delight me! They can hover right in front of my face, look at me, and then zip away in a breath. One day as I was hosing flowers, a hummer stopped midair to watch. Then, he darted into the mist and sped back out. I stood rooted. Again, that quick dart in and out, in and out. He’s playing! Birds play! Astounding!
What astounding experiences has God sent your way? A rainbow in front of you or a shooting star? A decades old bonsai oak or a sequoia you can’t see the top of? A cantering colt or an unstirring, antlered deer? A pure white amaryllis or a field of red poppies? God knows the hairs on your head and what will delight you. Pause to look and know this very personal, deliberate God who sees you! Blessing you is His pleasure.

Heavenly Father, thank You for seeing me — every moment, every hour. Help me to see You also. Amen.
Reflect: God-sightings help our brains remember. Remembering can shift us from anxiety to hopeful trust.
